My Role at BCS
My role is to prepare and review tax returns of all various types (individuals, businesses, partnerships, non-profits, payroll, etc.). I enjoy the challenge that no two returns are ever the same. I like digging into the tax planning and projection aspect of the job because that is where we can help clients save on taxes as well as help them grow their business based on the results of those projects.
Education and Experience
I am a 1999 graduate of East Tennessee State University and have been in various jobs in the accounting field since that time. After a brief stint working in manufacturing, I then transitioned into public accounting in 2001 in North Carolina. Since then, I have worked with numerous clients and businesses over the years that has only strengthened my knowledge so that I can help them with their needs.
Community Involvement and Personal Notes
I recently became the treasurer of our church (I guess that comes with the territory of being an accountant). I also fill in as needed in various roles within the church whether it be teaching or leading prayer services.
My wife, Amy, and I have been married since 2001 and enjoy attending University of Tennessee sporting events, especially football and basketball, and we have recently added baseball to the mix. When we are not in and around Knoxville we like to often vacation at Walt Disney World. There are no kids, but we do currently have a spoiled hound dog who is of course named Smokey
