We spent the few days before Valentine’s day spreading love to skilled nursing facilities and Niswonger Children’s Hospital.

When we were planning ways to give back to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we knew February had to be a month to show folks in our region some extra love. The pandemic has lingered on and has left many feeling isolated and shut-in. We took a break from the number crunching to write notes of encouragement and love to residents at skilled nursing facilities throughout our region, and to donate cuddly items, toys, and cards to Niswonger Children’s Hospital.

Being a Mom one of my first thoughts of an organization we could give to is Niswonger Children’s Hospital. They serve pediatric patients all across Upper East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Being a kid in a pandemic is hard, but to also be in the hospital makes it even harder. To help brighten their Valentine’s Day we donated handwritten and homemade cards and gifts such as teddy bears, toy cars, and blankets.
