The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will soon be delivering the third round of Economic Impact Payments, which we commonly refer to as stimulus payments.
- In general, most eligible taxpayers will receive $1,400 for themselves and $1,400 for each qualifying dependent.
- If the IRS has your direct deposit information, the official pay date is Wednesday, March 24. Your deposit may have already arrived as a pending deposit.
- This new batch of payments will include more mailed payments, so please watch your mail carefully for a paper check or a prepaid debit card.
- You may receive payment in a different form for the third round. If you have received your stimulus payments by direct deposit in the past but do not receive it by March 24, you may instead receive a paper check or prepaid debit card.
- If you would like to check the status of your payment, you can use the Get My Payment tool on IRS.gov to confirm your scheduled payment date. Visit https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment for details.
